Ukraine says it has dealt a heavy blow to Russian forces. 9,000 soldiers were killed. 217 tanks and 30 warplanes were destroyed. Ukraine says Russia has lost 31 helicopters and 60 fuel tanks. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Selensky has said that Russia’s progress is temporary. Ukraine does not want to be a corpse of Russian soldiers. The Russian Defense Ministry has confirmed that 498 soldiers were killed. The second round of Russia-Ukraine peace talks will take place today on the Belarusian-Polish border. The Russian envoy said talks would include a ceasefire. The United Nations says more than one million people have fled Ukraine so far. Two per cent of the total population left the country.
