Occupied Jerusalem – Follow-up: 90,000 people performed Eid prayers at Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem on Friday morning, according to the Palestinian Islamic Endowments Department. Sheikh Mohammed Hussein, the Mufti of Jerusalem and the Palestinian territories, addressed the worshipers in the Eid sermon, saying: “Congratulations to you for reviving Al-Aqsa Mosque with prayers and standing in prayer during the month of Ramadan.” He added, “We hope that your presence at Al-Aqsa Mosque will continue after Ramadan.” Sheikh Hussein pointed out that “Palestinians remember the martyrs on Eid and wish a speedy recovery for the wounded and the imminent release of prisoners from Israeli occupation prisons.” Sheikh Hussein also stressed “the Palestinians’ adherence to their Al-Aqsa Mosque, their city of Jerusalem, and their blessed land.” With the end of Eid prayers, hundreds of Palestinians organized a solidarity stand in the courtyards of Al-Aqsa in solidarity with Gaza.
