Almost 95 tons of fuel were pumped out from the Rise Shine container ship, which ran aground near Nakhodka. This was reported by RIA Novosti with reference to Ivan Agarevsky, director of the Primorsky branch of the Rosmorrechflot marine rescue service.

Recall that the Panamanian container ship Rise Shine ran aground off the coast of Primorye near Nakhodka on November 9. According to the regional authorities and the customs service, he was carrying 200 containers with spare parts, there were more than 300 tons of fuel and lubricants in the tanks.

14 crew members (all of them are Chinese citizens) were evacuated from the ship by helicopter. A crack was found in the hull of the container ship, and the specialists installed booms.

Fuel pumping began a week ago, but due to bad weather it was periodically interrupted.

According to Agarevsky, there are no fuel leaks into the water. Experts continue to work at the scene.
