People recovered or discharged they are altogether 12.633.384 e 71.380 those that have become negative in the last 24 hours (yesterday 30,870). The positive current – the subjects who have the virus – turn out to be in everything 1.200.607equal to +25.327 compared to yesterday (+2.456 the day before).
The swabs and the scenario
I total swabs (molecular and antigenic) were 641.896, or 423,680 more than yesterday when it was 218,216. The 15% positive rate (the approximation of 15.01%); yesterday it was 14.9%.
More infections in 24 hours than yesterday. The curve should be at the weekly peak of its usual swing. The trend remains on the rise and can be seen from the comparison with last Tuesday (March 15), when they were recorded +85,288 almost with a rate of 14.5%: in fact today there are more new infections than that day, with a higher percentage (15% against 14.5%). Just look at the graph of the curve to get an idea of the trend.
To have an increase of new infected in five figures, above 10 thousand, are four regions: Puglia (+12.007 cases), Lombardy (+11.378 cases), Lazio (+11.172) and Campania (+10.788).
According to the WHO, 18 out of 53 European countries, including Italy, have lifted the restrictions too brutally and are facing a sharp increase in cases related to the Omicron 2 variant. But WHO regional director for Europe, Hans Kluge, says be optimistic and alert. Optimism due to several factors: mortality is decreasingthe high rate of vaccination, especially with boosters, leads to a milder disease and then there is the end of winter, so from the next few weeks people will gather less in small and crowded places.
The health system
Ordinary hospitalizations increase, while those in resuscitation slightly decrease. The beds occupied in ordinary Covid wards I’m +241 (yesterday +298), for a total of 8,969 hospitalized.
