The team of Olek “hades” Miśkiewicz, after a great RMR and, despite everything, quite successful IEM Rio, finally returned to Poland, where online tournaments were waiting for them. The first was the ESL Challenger League, where the Falcons were waiting for them in the second round of the upper bracket. The Poles were the favorites of the meeting, but considering the fact that it was an online tournament, and the Poles had not played in this way for weeks, one could expect quite high emotions and an even match.

The match was played in the best of three system. It fell on the Ancient, Vertigo and Nuke maps. The meeting started with the Falcons pick, however, the beginning of the meeting did not indicate that it was their map. Poles in the first rounds on the defending side dominated their rivals. Then, however, it was the French who took matters into their own hands and first won a few rounds in a nice style in the first half, and then closed the entire map with a score of 16:14.

As is the case with 9INE matches lately, we have moved to Vertigo. The Poles once again had full control of the match and won the first half 11:4. However, after the change of sides, something in the hades team’s game jammed and their rival led to overtime. Fortunately, in the additional rounds, the Poles turned out to be better and triumphed 19:15.

The last map was Nuke. 9INE started on the counter-terrorist side where they totally dominated kennyS’s team. After 15 rounds on the scoreboard we could see the result 14:1 for the Poles. In the end, the Falcons won a few more rounds, but the nines closed the meeting 16:6. Thus, 9INE advanced to the quarterfinals of the upper bracket, where they will face Apeks on May 10.
