Travel by luxury car
Krithika Aruna (age 24) hails from Pollachi, Coimbatore. He is a computer engineer and works in IT in Durai Pakkam near Chennai. He was working in the company. For this he stayed in a hostel in the same area.
As it was a holiday on Sunday, yesterday morning Krithika Aruna, along with her co-workers Sridhar (26), Abisha (23) and Pankaj (19) from Kolathur, left for sightseeing in Chennai in a luxury car.
The car was driven by Sridhar. Pankaj was sitting next to him and Kritika Aruna and Abisha were traveling in the back seat.
Overturned on the road
They were coming towards Pallavaram from Duraipakkam on the 200 feet radial road Duraipakkum-Pallavaram.
The luxury car, which was speeding near the Pallikaran garbage dump, suddenly lost control and crashed into the barrier wall on the roadside and overturned on the road. The car crumpled like a pancake as it hit the barrier.

The doors of the car opened automatically when it hit the barrier. Krithika Aruna, who was sitting behind, fell down from the car and got injured.
3 others were caught in the debris and were seriously injured. Police Inspector Anil Kumar of Pallikarana Traffic Investigation Division who came to know about this and the police recovered the overturned car on the road.
Later the 4 seriously injured people were rescued and admitted to a private hospital in Pallikaranai. But Krithika, who was thrown from the car and got seriously injured, died miserably without treatment. The other 3 are still undergoing treatment. The Police of Pallikarana Traffic Investigation Division have registered a case and are investigating.
