IPL Mini Auction: The mini auction for IPL 2023 will be held this month. Of the 405 players, 273 were Indians and 132 were foreign players, including four from Associate countries. The total number of capped players is 119, uncapped players are 282 and 4 are from Associate Nations. IPL 2023 mini-auction is set to feature a large number of youngsters. There are a few young players who have caught the owners’ eye.
5 Young Players in IPL 2023 Auction:
Allah Mohammad Ghazanfar – 15 years old
Afghanistan’s Allah Mohammad Ghazanfar is the youngest player to be auctioned in the upcoming IPL 2023 mini auction. He is a right arm off spinner. Ghazanfar took 5 wickets including 4/15 in 3 T20 matches of Shbakeza Cricket League in Kabul.

Dinesh Bana – 18 years old
Haryana’s Dinesh Bana hit 2 consecutive sixes to lead India to victory in the U-19 World Cup final earlier this year, and it was in that tournament that Bana earned his reputation as a hard-hitter. He has played at a strike rate of 190 in 5 matches. However, after that, Bana did nothing of note: he averaged 14 at a strike rate of 110 in 8 T20 matches.
Saqib Hussain – 18 years
18-year-old Saqib Hussain is a right-arm fast bowler. He recently made his debut for Bihar and took 4 wickets in his second SMAT T20 match. Hussain is also known to be able to move the ball out of the pitch. Quality Indian pacers have always been an attraction in the IPL auction; Owners feel that Saqib Hussain has a great future prospect.
Kumar Kushagra – 18 years old
In the Ranji Trophy earlier this year, Jharkhand’s Kumar Kushagra became the youngest batsman in first-class history to score more than 250. Kumar Kushagra is a wicket-keeper batsman and is likely to attract bids in the IPL 2023 auction.
Sheikh Rasheed – 18 years old
Hailing from Andhra Pradesh, Sheikh Rasheed is an amazing talent. A right-handed batsman, Rashid made his Ranji Trophy debut in February 2022 and the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy in October. Averaged 28 in 3 T20 games. Sheikh Rashid was the vice-captain of the Indian team that won the Under-19 World Cup earlier this year.
