On 10/31/22, against the background of the conflict, Zachariah asked A. to meet him in Kiryat Ata, and the two agreed to meet. At that time, a decision arose in Zachariah’s heart to shoot A and cause his death, so he conspired with the defendants Canaan and Sabri in order to carry out the decision. Some of the defendants left Ramla by car and drove to Kiryat Ata carrying and carrying weapons, and waited for A to arrive for the meeting.

At that time, the deceased and two other people were standing near the meeting place arranged with A. The deceased arrived at the scene to take his scooter from the workshop. Some of the defendants drove past the deceased and his friend and believed that the deceased was the person they were looking for, began to follow them and later shot at the deceased and his friend, believing that one of them was the person they were looking for.

The bullet fired hit the deceased’s head. At this point, the shooters hit the scooter used by the deceased’s friend with force, using the vehicle, and even fired at least two bullets at him. The deceased was rushed by ambulance to the shock room at the “Rambam” hospital in Haifa and after a few days he was pronounced dead.

After the shooters fled the intersection, they agreed with the other defendants to hide the vehicle that was used to carry out the shooting. Later, some of the defendants drove the perpetrators of the shooting back to Ramla and that night hid the vehicle that carried out the shooting in the parking lot in order to thwart judicial proceedings.

As mentioned, the prosecutor’s office seeks to detain the accused until the end of the legal proceedings against them.
