The temperature reaches 10 ° C in the apartments of a military residence

by time news

The collective heating has been shut down since December 11 in the Saint-Exupéry military residence in Patay, north of Orléans (Loiret). The tenants of the 26 apartments are confronted with temperatures around 10 ° C in their homes, reports France 3 Center Val de Loire. The malfunction occurs when the outside temperatures drop below zero.

The new wood-pellet boiler delivered in the fall has been acting up without the reasons being fully identified. What is certain is that it lacks fuel. The pellet reserves have been consumed more quickly than expected. A delivery was supposed to solve this problem on Monday.

The tenants had hastened to inform the lessor as soon as they had noticed that their radiators were cold. Additional electric heating arrived three days later, but in insufficient proportions. It remains to understand what the collective heating system suffers from. In the meantime, the lessor, who will no longer take care of the residence from January 1, has raised the possibility of a commercial gesture.
