Since 1965, Alpina has made it its business to make selected BMW models more unique. New components are sometimes developed for the conversions, some of which are manufactured internally at the main plant in Buchloe, not far from Munich. Every Alpina vehicle must pass numerous quality and performance tests before it is released for series production. The report accompanies the production of a BMW Alpina B7 and a BMW Alpina XB7 SUV.
