Eisenkot: Is this a hidden plan to dismantle Hersh

Jonathan Zindel, Flash 90

Member of Knesset Gadi Eisenkot, who served as Chief of Staff, commented today (Monday) on the legislative wave of the designated coalition, and said that he hopes that in the legislation, the coalition partners do not have a plan aimed at security chaos, at the end of which the Palestinian Authority will be disbanded.

Eisenkot said that “in the past week there is an attempt to pass laws with a major impact on national security in a hurry. The question arises as to whether mistrust between the components of the future coalition is a good enough reason for this.”

“The elections ended with a clear decision and a quick change of government could be expected. What we are seeing in the last few weeks is decisions that stem mainly from a lack of trust and political considerations. The question arises where are the strategic, security and economic considerations.”

According to him, “The expected changes during this critical period, especially in the structure of the security system, constitute a risk in my view. It was right to treat the holy fear and I see these changes with great concern – the changes in the Ministry of Defense, in the Civil Administration, the subjugation of the MPG manning company, do not result from in-depth consideration. Because If there had been in-depth consideration and security considerations, these decisions probably would not have been made.”

Eisenkot said that the decisions would not have been made “unless there is a hidden plan here which I hope does not exist – the first step is to accept responsibility for the Menhaz and the Matapash, the second step is to weaken them, the third step is to cancel them and the fourth step is to bring about a chaotic reality in Judea and Samaria, and then finally approach the dissolution of the Palestinian Authority.”

“I say this as someone who led a very aggressive operation in Judea and Samaria. I very much hope that we will see political wisdom and military courage alongside the need to create clarity for the security systems and not take decisions lightly – who know how to start them but not how to end them. When the demon comes out of the bottle it takes many years to put it back . I recommend making these changes with deep consideration. End of act with first thought.”
