Chennai: Chief Minister M.K.Stalin yesterday held an important meeting with ministers and officials at the Chennai Chief Secretariat regarding the distribution of Pongal gift packages. In a day or two, the official announcement about the Pongal collection will be released. In order to celebrate the Tamil Thirunalam Thai Pongal festival, a special package is being provided by the Tamil Nadu government. For Thai Pongal last year, Chief Minister M. K. Stalin announced a 20-item package for rice family card holders and families living in Sri Lankan Tamil rehabilitation camps.

Food Minister Chakrapani, Cooperatives Minister Periyagaruppan, Chief Secretary Thaoyanpu and senior officers of the department participated in this. It seems important decisions were taken in the meeting.
