Bangkok: The search for 31 people missing at sea after the sinking of a navy ship in Thailand is being carried out by ships and helicopters. The Navy-owned ship Sukhothai was on a routine patrol off the coast of Thailand’s Prachuap Khiri Khan province on Sunday in Bangsaphan district.

There were 106 soldiers on this ship. Suddenly a strong wind blew in the sea and the waves rose to a height of about 3 meters. Unfortunately, as sea water entered the ship, the power supply was also cut off. Due to this, the sea water entering the ship could not be discharged. This caused the ship to sink into the sea.

The mariners who got the information about the sinking of the ship immediately engaged in rescue operations. 75 people were rescued alive. Also 31 people on board drowned. The rescue team continued to search for them. Rescue operations are being carried out by naval vessels and helicopters.
