World Cup: the French Federation will file a complaint following racist insults targeting the Blues

by time news

Like the young English in 2021, several Blues were the targets of racist insults after a defeat on penalties. A year and a half after the final of the Euro, the evil is still rampant and this time, Kingsley Coman, Aurélien Tchouaméni and Randal Kolo Muani were the main players affected. The FFF reacted quickly by filing a complaint against the perpetrators of the insults, as it indicated on Twitter, citing “unacceptable racist and hateful remarks”.

Coman and Tchouameni missed their shot on goal while Kolo Muani missed a last-minute one-on-one against Emiliano Martinez, hence the fact that they were mainly targeted. In 2021, beyond Bukayo Saka and his English compatriots, Kylian Mbappé was also insulted after his failed attempt during the penalty shootout lost against Switzerland in the round of 16.

The PSG striker then regretted the lack of support from the FFF. Noël Le Graët, who had assured that racism did not exist in football, then declared to the JDD that Mbappé “no longer wanted to play for the France team” after his missed penalty. “I explained to him above all well that it was in relation to racism and NOT to the penalty. But he considered that there had been no racism…”, retorted the native of Bondy on Twitter.

On Twitter, precisely, Bayern Munich posted a message of support for their winger Coman on Monday. “FC Bayern strongly condemns the racist remarks made against Kingsley Coman. The FC Bayern family is behind you, King. Racism has no place in sport or in our society,” the German club wrote. For his part, Aurélien Tchouaméni was forced to restrict the space reserved for comments on his latest Instagram post.
