The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, received by the President of the United States, Joe Biden, Wednesday at the White House. CNN reports that the two heads of state “are planning the meeting” in Washington. Zelensky’s surprise visit, with a speech to Congress, would come as the Biden administration works to send new air defense systems – including Patriot missiles – that Ukraine will use to defend itself against Russian raids. The visit, which has not yet been fully finalized, would mark Zelensky’s first trip outside Ukraine since the war began in February.
