A few hours after they asked for the public’s help in searching for a missing person who is suspected of stabbing a woman in Rishon Lezion, the police announced now (Wednesday) that they succeeded in locating and arresting the suspect in Jaffa. At the end of his investigation, a decision will be made regarding the request to continue his detention in accordance with the findings of the investigation.
As you remember, the police started an accelerated investigation two days ago, after the stabbing incident in which a woman was stabbed in her home in the city. According to the suspicion, the background to the incident was a personal conflict with a resident of the city, 38-year-old Ariel Deri. He fled the scene and has been on the run since the incident until his arrest now.
The medical officials who arrived at the scene evacuated the woman for further treatment at Assaf Harofeh Medical Center, where her condition was defined as mild-moderate.
