Shah Rukh Khan is the only Indian in British magazine Empire’s list of 50 greatest actors. Other notable stars on the list include Denzel Washington, Tom Hanks, Anthony Marlon Brando, Meryl Streep and Jack Nicholson. Empire’s profile states that Shah Rukh Khan has millions of fans and only a handful of his films have failed at the box office. The profile also says that there are few roles that Shahrukh, who is very talented in acting, cannot do.

Empire also highlighted SRK’s performances in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Devdas, Karan Johar’s My Name Is Khan, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and Ashutosh Gowariker’s Swadesh. In the magazine, the dialogue “Zindahi toh har rose jaan lethi hai… bomb toh sirf ek bar lega” (Life is killing us everyday, if it’s a bomb, kill us once) in the 2012 film Jab Tak Hai Jaan has been hailed as the iconic line of Shahrukh’s career.

Directed by Siddharth Anand, Pathan is Shahrukh Khan’s upcoming film. Deepika Padukone, John Abraham, Dimple Kapadia, Shaji Chaudhary, Gautham and Ashutosh Rana are the other main protagonists of the film. The film will release in theaters on January 25. Shah Rukh Khan’s next film is Jawaan, directed by South Indian director Atlee. Reports say that Nayanthara will be the heroine of the film. Apart from Hindi, the film will be released in Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Tamil languages and will hit the theaters on June 2 next year.
