This sub-strain has already been detected in Germany, Belgium, France, Denmark, USA and UK.
Omicron BF.7
BF.7 is the next strain of the previously identified Omicron BA.5.2.1.7 strain. This means that the present strain has evolved from the BA.5 strain. But this BF.7 strain can spread faster than other strains. Especially people who have already been infected with corona virus and even those who have been vaccinated are more likely to be affected by this infection. Also, the BF.7 strain is 4.4 times more virulent than the original Wuhan virus, the researchers said.
