Kuwait City: A Kuwaiti citizen who insulted Saudi Arabia through a social media post has been jailed for three years. The Kuwaiti Criminal Court handed down the sentence the other day.
The Public Prosecution charged him under Section 4 of the Foreign State Security Crimes Act 30/1970 for insulting Saudi Arabia and interfering with Kuwait’s relations with another country. A local daily reported that the criminal court sentenced the accused to three years of rigorous imprisonment after the trial.
