In a statement issued by the channel’s management, it is stated that “the network’s management does not feel satisfied with the final result, therefore the decision was made not to broadcast it”.

15 years have passed since former president Moshe Katsav was accused of rape, convicted and sentenced to seven years in prison. His conviction aroused enormous interest in the media – in Israel and around the world, but Katsav himself remained silent throughout the years and categorically refused to be interviewed.

In the interview, which was supposed to be broadcast on the program “The Moment of Truth”, Sivan Cohen-Saban returned to the days of the beginning of the affair, Katsav’s refusal to agree to a plea deal, in which he was only accused of kissing the cheek and caressing his thigh, until his conviction of rape in two courts.

For the first time in years, Katsav speaks for the first time in front of Cohen-Saban’s camera and answers the difficult questions. The program was supposed to reveal new revelations that have not yet been revealed, about what took place behind the scenes of the affair that rocked Israel.

Now, as mentioned, the channel’s management has decided to shelve the broadcast and the interview will not be published.
