47 people, including a 17-year-old student of a leading school in Mirihana, were arrested during drug raids near schools in the Western Province yesterday.
The police said that the raids were carried out in the vicinity of 149 schools in the Western Province from 6.30 am to 2.30 pm yesterday.
During the raid, the police recovered 1.260 kilograms of ‘mawa’, 9.630 milligrams of heroin and 2.38 milligrams of ice and 207 grams of ganja.
