The Christmas procession has begun in Nazareth, these are the streets that will be closed to vehicle traffic

At this time (Saturday) the Christmas procession takes place in Nazareth. The procession route: Hapoalim housing, Maria statue, Paulus street from Diana intersection and ending at the city square.

Depending on the route of the procession, the following streets will be closed to vehicle traffic:

▪ Paulus the Sixth Street in Nazareth in the section of the road between the Mishvir and the consumer until the Diana junction between the hours of 11:00 – 21:00

▪ The Hapoalim neighborhood through the Diana intersection to the Shab Aladdin city square, the Mashbir intersection and the bank axis between the hours of 11:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m.

▪ Tawfik Ziad Street from the Galilee Square to the Ha’ir Square between the hours of 11:00 – 21:00.

Many visitors are expected and traffic congestion will be felt in all areas of Nazareth and the surrounding area, mainly between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. Many police officers were deployed in the city and on the roads leading to the city, with an emphasis on route 60 towards Nazareth and route 75 bypassing Nazareth, according to the traffic loads, the policemen will direct the vehicles to alternative routes.

Some of the roadblocks will be opened to traffic gradually after the end of the procession. The visiting public is asked to be patient.

It should be noted that the Israel Police is prepared ahead of time and deployed with increased forces in the Old City of Nazareth and at the intersections leading to the city, with the aim of allowing the celebrants to enjoy the holiday events, protect the safety of the many participants, maintain public order and direct the traffic with an emphasis on those places where traffic congestion is expected.
