Fortunately, the endless positivity of her best friend, Carrie, keeps her from wallowing in self-pity. They share an apartment with Cash, Carrie’s partner, and with a cat named Spichi after a rather embarrassing incident. With little hope and much despair in this big, confusing world, Jen sets out on a quest to find her elusive superpower. (Series, 8 episodes) (January 25).
The Menu – The Menu: Margo and Tyler (Anya Taylor-Joy and Nicholas Hoult), a young couple, travel to a luxurious and isolated island to dine at an exclusive restaurant, where a mysterious chef (Raife Fiennes) has prepared an abundant and expensive menu. But it soon becomes clear that the pretentious and spoiled diners are about to receive shocking surprises. Consumerism takes on a hilariously chilling meaning in this black comedy, which also stars Hong Chow, Janet McTeer, Judith Light and John Laguizamo. “The Menu” was directed by Mark Mailod from a screenplay by Seth Reese and Will Tracy (January 4).
Star Wars: Bad Batch – Season 2 – Star Wars: The Bad Batch S2: Months have passed since the events of Camino and the Bad Batch continues to move across the Empire after the fall of the Republic. They will meet friends and enemies, both new and familiar, while taking on a variety of fascinating missions that will lead them to new, unexpected and dangerous places (January 4).

koala man – KOALA MAN: The Koala Man series follows Kevin, a middle-aged father and his not-so-secret identity, whose only superpower is a burning passion for obeying the rules and uncovering petty crimes in the town of Daftoo. Although it looks like a typical Australian neighborhood, evil forces, both cosmic and man-made, are secretly waiting to pounce on the unsuspecting residents of Daftoo. Koala Man is always up for the task of cleaning up his home town, and he often forces his desperate family to accompany him on his adventures. He’ll do whatever it takes to defeat evil supervillains, supernatural horrors, or worse: morons who don’t take out the trash cans on the right days (January 9).
The protected forest – The Territory: The film offers an authentic portrait of the daily life and struggles of an indigenous community in the Brazilian Amazon. Using breathtaking shots of the dramatic landscape and varied sound editing, the film takes viewers deep into the important ecosystem they are fighting to protect. Since the Brazilian government’s initial contact with the Oro-au-Wau-Wau in 1981, their territory has become a green island of rainforest surrounded by farms, as a result of four decades of uncontrolled deforestation. The community has suffered devastating encroachments on the environment and often violence on its territory by non-natives seeking to use their land. Illegal incursions to cut down trees and clear the land have become more frequent and bolder over the years (January 13).
withdrawal – Retrograde: The film provides a deeply intimate look at the final days of America’s longest war, and humanizes the people most affected, from both the American and Afghan perspectives. The film provides close-up documentation of a turning point in the history between America and Afghanistan and provides a moving reminder of the human cost of wars. The film contains graphic footage of war. Discretion must be exercised when viewing (January 13).
an elf – Little Demon: The series “Devil” is an animated series that mixes horror and comedy and follows Laura, a reluctant mother who was impregnated by the devil 13 years ago, and Chrissy, her demonic daughter, who has just received her demonic powers. Although they try to live a normal life in Delaware, the couple repeatedly encounters monstrous forces, including Satan, who wants full custody of his daughter’s soul. Plus, Chrissy has to deal with the chaos of middle school, while Laura struggles to fit into small-town life (Jan. 18).
