Mumbai: Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan are two giants of Bollywood cinema. When Salman celebrated his birthday at a star-studded party in Mumbai on Monday, Shah Rukh too joined Salman. Videos and photos of Shah Rukh and Salman greeting others at the party and Shah Rukh giving Salman a warm hug are going viral online.
Fans on social media are calling these moments the highlight of Salman’s birthday party. Salman turned 57 on December 27. Salman hosted a joint party with his sister Arpita Khan’s daughter Ayat Sharma. Salman’s and his sister’s daughter’s birthdays are on the same day.
Ayat Sharma turned three on Tuesday. Salman’s birthday party was attended by an array of celebrities including Pooja Hegde, Karthik Aryan, Sunil Shetty, Tabu and Sangeeta Bijlani.
But the center of attention at the party was Shahrukh himself. Fans couldn’t contain their excitement when they saw Salman and Shah Rukh together and fans did not hide their joy in the comment boxes of the photos shared by the actors on the paparazzi page. Like Salman, Shah Rukh also wore a black outfit for the party.
Salman Khan made his Bollywood debut in 1988 with the film Biwi Ho Toh Isi. In the same year, Shah Rukh made his debut on TV with the show Fauji. The following year, Salman scored his first hit in mainstream Bollywood with Maine Pyaar Kiya.
By the time Shah Rukh made his debut with Deewana in 1992, Salman had already become a star. Despite their box office clashes, they remained friendly. Reportedly, Shah Rukh and Salman are planning to act together again.
