Chennai: The number of posts for ‘Group-4’ examination has been increased to 9,840.
The Group-4 examination was held on July 24 to fill up 7,301 vacant posts in seven categories including Village Administrative Officer, Junior Assistant, Typist, Stenographer in government departments.
18.5 lakh people participated in the examination conducted by the Government Staff Selection Commission, TNPSC. It was announced that the results of the exam will be published in October.
However, due to various reasons, the release of the result has been delayed and it is expected that it will be released in January 2023.
In this case, the number of Group-4 examination posts has been increased from 7,301 to 9,840. Sources in TNPSC said that the vacancy list for this has come from the government.
After the announcement of the exam result, it has been decided to fill up 9,840 seats through those who pass it.
