Honor, like many other manufacturers in the market, is not satisfied only with phones and launches other computing products throughout its years of activity, including tablets. Its new tablet is called Pad V8 Pro and it is considered its flagship device in this market.
As we mentioned, a year and a half has already passed since the launch of its previous flagship tablet V7 Pro. In addition, as we mentioned, this is the first tablet to offer compatibility with the IMAX Enhanced standard, which means that users can stream to it content encoded according to this standard in very high video and audio quality. This is a feature that until now was only available for televisions.
Honor chose for the new tablet a 12.1-inch IPS screen with a resolution of 2560×1600 pixels, supporting a 10-bit color depth and 100% DCI-P3 support. According to the company, the tablet supports a refresh rate of 144 Hz, and should therefore be the first on the market to offer support for this relatively high refresh rate.
The processor of the Pad V8 Pro is a Dimensity 8100 and the company has integrated 8 GB of working memory and 128 GB of storage memory at the base level, with the possibility to choose memory configurations of 8/256 and 12/256 GB of memory. There is a 5-megapixel camera on the front and a 13-megapixel camera on the back.
In addition, no less than 8 speakers have been integrated into this tablet which should be powerful, and they offer support for DTS:X to provide surround sound. The battery has a relatively large volume of 10,050 mAh and supports charging with a power of 35 watts. The operating system is Android 12 and the interface above is Magic UI 7.0.
The tablet will be sold in gray, blue and orange colors, the first two with an aluminum back and the third with an artificial leather coating. The prices will be about 375, 420 and 475 dollars respectively. The actual sales will start at the end of the month.
