Palakkad; A 19-year-old man cheated more than 100 people by using the picture of a young woman with the promise of getting married. Kriston Joseph, a resident of Chokkad, has cheated 131 people using a fake picture. The young man gave the local woman’s phone number to those who inquired about the woman’s phone number. The young man trapped 131 people in 10 days.
The 19-year-old circulated the number of a local girl as that of a young lady who gives massages. A fake account was also created using a photo taken from the internet, pretending to be a 32-year-old girl. The local girl’s number was given when many people who had established contact through chatting asked for her number.
They offered everything from a complete excision of Rs 4,000 to a palliative treatment of Rs 2,000. Many are attracted to text messaging and private messaging via Messenger. Many people were willing to pay the required amount of money.
When the calls came to the phone, the woman, who did not know anything about this, filed a complaint with the Kalikavu police. The young man was arrested during further investigation.
