Buenos Aires – English Premier League clubs are trying to acquire Argentina’s young player Enzo Fernandez, who shone in the Qatar World Cup. Benfica’s release clause on the player is 105 million euros. But two offers of more than 127 million euros (approximately Rs. 1119 crores) have come before Benfica, the Portuguese club where Enzo is currently playing. English Premier League clubs Manchester United and Liverpool are leading the battle to acquire the player.
Enzo Fernandez, who appeared in seven matches for Argentina in the World Cup, returned from Qatar with one goal and one assist. The actor also won the best young actor award in Qatar. Enzo joined Benfica this season, scoring three goals and providing five assists in 24 appearances.
The player came to Benfica from Argentine club River Plate for 10 million euros. The young player of the Netherlands, Cody Gakpo, tried to bring him to the Manchester United team, but in an unexpected move, Liverpool acquired the player.
