While actor Siddharth had said on his social media that the airport officials forced him and his parents to speak in Hindi at the Madurai airport, the Madurai airport official has said that his statement is completely false.

Tamil actor Siddharth had recently said that he did not know Hindi at the Madurai airport and that the security officials were harsh and did not notice that he had asked him to speak in English.

He also said that for more than 20 minutes he and his parents were in agony and they told me to take the coins from the bag my parents had brought and kept talking in Hindi. It is noteworthy that Siddharth’s social media post caused a sensation and many people including Madurai MP Venkatesh expressed their condemnation.

A senior officer has explained what happened at the Madurai airport. He said that when Siddharth arrived at Madurai airport at 04.15 with his family to go to Chennai, he was searched by CISF officials and was only asked to remove his mask.

It was a routine security procedure and Siddharth’s family’s belongings were searched and dispatched within 10 minutes and no one did any harm to them, he said.

He also explained that Siddharth and his parents were checked by a female officer from Thanjavur in Tamil Nadu who spoke to Siddharth only in Tamil and not in Hindi and only Siddharth and his parents spoke in Hindi.

He also said that Siddharth’s claim that the security forces spoke in Hindi is completely false and Siddharth’s allegations are false and all the footage has been recorded in the CCTV camera till his departure from the airport and we are ready to release it if required.
