The Spanish league returned from the World Cup break with the beauty of Saftah. Atlético Madrid got exactly the rest it needed with 0:2 and returned to the winning track at Elche’s expense. Girona and Rayo and Icano drew 2:2 in Montilivi at the end of an enjoyable game and four goals. Back on the winning track. After three games without a win before the World Cup break, Atlético Madrid hosted Elche and got three valuable points.
The Colchoneros welcomed back Antoine Griezmann, Joao Felix and Alvaro Morata as the stars of the World Cup in Qatar arrived sharper than ever. Bilbao squeezed out a draw in a game in which Manuel Pellegrini’s Betis kicked five times on target. The greens played with a numerical disadvantage at the end after Luiz Felipe (96) was sent off with a straight red. Now Bilbao with 25 points and in fourth place, while Betis with the same balance and in sixth place.
The fight is particularly close. Real Sociedad with 26 points from 14 games and third, while Atlético fifth with 25. Rayo and Vicano seventh with 23 and Ossona eighth with 23, so everything is open in the Spanish league behind Real and Barcelona.
Girona – Rayo Waicano 2:2
You can say that Rayo missed mainly because she was twice in an advantageous position.
