Phnom Penh: 19 people died in a fire at the Grand Diamond City Casino in Poipet, Cambodia. More than 50 people were injured. The fire broke out on the Thai border. The accident happened at 11.30 pm local time on Wednesday.
Hundreds of people, including foreigners, were in the casino. Thai citizens were also among them. The fire started on the first floor and spread upwards. Most of the dead were trapped in the upper floors of the building. The death toll may rise. The cause of the accident is unclear.
