Tragedy: Mrs. Faiga Zissel Braun, 69 years old, widow of the late Rabbi David Aryeh Braun, a follower of Toldot Aharon, choked on a hard-boiled egg this evening (Thursday) during a meal at her home on Shomri Emonim Street in Jerusalem – and lost consciousness.
The medical forces of the Rescue Union who were called to her home performed CPR on her, after which she was referred to the Hadassah Mount Scopus Medical Center – where, thankfully, she died.
Moishi Veles and Naftali Schmerler, medics of the Rescue Union: “We performed CPR on her after, according to her family members, she choked while eating a hard-boiled egg.
“During the resuscitation operations, pieces of egg were removed from her trachea and her heart started beating again. Unfortunately, a little while later, family members told us that she was pronounced dead at Mount Scopus Hospital.”
Her funeral will leave tonight at 12:00 from her home, through the Toldot Aharon hospital – and from there to the Mount of Olives, where she will be buried.
