A suspect of abuse at a kindergarten in the Carmel Castle was extradited to Israel from Georgia

The 38-year-old resident of Carmel Castle, who was suspected in 2018 of abusing a kindergarten she owns and during the investigation fled to Georgia, was extradited to Israel yesterday and today (Friday) the police will ask to extend her detention.

The beginning of an investigation in February 2018, following the receipt of a complaint at the Carmel Castle Police by a kindergarten assistant who complained that the owner of the kindergarten was hitting the children in the kindergarten. The suspect was arrested and investigators from the Carmel Castle station began an investigation and collection of evidence against the suspect, the owner of the kindergarten, a 38-year-old resident of Carmel Castle, during which she was released on bail to her home.

As mentioned, during the investigation the suspect fled the country to her country of origin, Uzbekistan. The case was transferred to the prosecutor’s office and due to the seriousness of the acts, it was decided to request that she be declared needed for investigation in the countries of the world and a red notice was issued to various countries around the world with a request to extradite the suspect to Israel.

The suspect was arrested in April 2022 when she entered the state of Georgia, where she was detained for nine months when at the same time a request was submitted for her extradition to Israel. To this end, several hearings were held in courts in Georgia, at the end of which her extradition to Israel was approved.

On December 29, 2022, representatives of the Israel Police arrived in Georgia, the investigation and intelligence officer of the Carmel Castle, Corporal Ayman Saleh, and the police officer, Major Panina Chaikin, and with the assistance of the representative of the police in the Balkan countries, Sen. Uri Robinson, the police joined the local police of Georgia, took responsibility for the suspect and brought the same country
