Coimbatore: The police have registered a case against 3 people who put up a BJP flag pole without permission in Ashokapuram panchayat of Coimbatore district. Ashokapuram panchayat is located on the way from Dudiyalur to Idikarai in Coimbatore district. As more than 600 families are living in the Gandhi Colony area within this panchayat, some people from this area who recently joined the BJP held their party’s flag pole on December 24.
The villagers strongly opposed this and alleged that they had decided not to allow the BJP in their area and despite that, the BJP flagpole was planted without proper permission. About 50 people signed a complaint in this regard to the Revenue Inspector and Periyanayakanpalayam Police Inspector. A case has been registered at Periyanayakanpalayam police station against 3 persons Sinrasu, Shekhar and Kanagaraj who put up the flag pole without obtaining permission.
