UCongratulating Nni Mukundan and his latest film Malikappuram, director M. Padmakumar. Through a note posted on Facebook, Padmakumar expressed his appreciation to the film, the stars and the crew.
He has described Unni Mukundan as his favorite hero who is just a few steps away from superstar status. The hero/heroine of the story has a purpose; The film and the audience are able to move along with it. He says that if that is the equation behind the commercial success of a film, ‘Malikappuram’ is a clear example of it.
If eight-year-old Kalyani’s goal is to reach Sabarimala and meet Ayyappan, it is her will that takes her there. Although she believes that it is God who comes in any form that helps her. Padmakumar wrote that it is not just Kalyani who is on target here, but director Shashi Shankar’s son Vishnu, whom I love and respect like an elder brother.
