In Jerusalem, this morning they said goodbye to the master of torment, Rabbi Avraham Mordechai Vidavsky, the late Rabbi Avraham Mordechai Vidavsky, the followers of Gur who was known to the residents of Geula and the surrounding area from the bus stop on Malki Israel Street.

Baruch Dayan the truth: From the Shaari Tzedek hospital in Jerusalem this morning (Friday) came the sad news of the passing of Rabbi Avraham Mordechai Vidavsky, late of Hasidot Gur and he was 78 years old at the time of his death.

The late deceased was born on 28 Tivat 5555 to his father R. Simcha Bonim Vidavsky and his mother Mrs. Hana Frida A.H.

The figure of the deceased is known to all passers-by on Melki Israel Street in Jerusalem, because he used to sit for hours at the bus stop there. Following the move of Gur’s Beit Midrash from Ralbach Street to Yeremiah and with the establishment of the Yeshiva there, Rabbi Avraham Mordechai had no place to sit and would sit at the station in the Kings of Israel.

The late deceased was in agony and all his life he knew pains and troubles because he was a Galmud. He was always having fun with Avrach in his studies, and the one who came to visit him frequently at the station was the Rabbi of the Jerusalem Commune, the genius Rabbi Yisrael Yitzchak Mendelsohn, who would strengthen and encourage him with words.

His brother who stood by him all these years and supported him, the well-known bookseller, Rabbi Zvi Michal Vidavsky, late of Bnei Brak, passed away about two years ago.

Now, with his passing, the figure of Rabbi Avraham Mordechai will be missing in the landscape of redemption.

The public is invited to learn about the uplifting of the soul of Rabbi Avraham Mordechai ben Simcha Bonim.

His funeral took place this morning (Friday, Shabbat Eve, Kodesh Parshath Vigesh) from the Great Beit Midrash of the Gor Hassidism on Jeremiah Street in Jerusalem, from the Mount of Olives where he was buried.

May his soul be bundled in the bundle of life.
