Bolsonaro leaves Brazil and will not attend Lula’s inauguration on New Year’s Day – Brazil

Brasilia/Miami – Brazil’s ousted President Jair Bolsonaro wants to avoid handing over office to his successor Luiz Ignacio Lula da Silva and has traveled to the USA. On Friday evening (local time) he landed in Florida, where his security personnel were already waiting for him. He had announced several times that he would not officially hand over the presidency to Lula, thereby breaking with a democratic tradition in Brazil.
