C’is one of the showbiz squabbles that have delighted the community… For years, Pascal Obispo and Michel Polnareff have been like dog and cat and settle their scores through the press, fueling an endless duel. The first is a fan of the second, but Polnareff has always taken pleasure in humiliating or ridiculing Obispo, out of pride or play, a quarrel that ended up feeding bitterness and incomprehension on both sides. But we have to believe that the time has come for reconciliation, as confirmed by the Admiral, who is making a comeback with a new acoustic album Polnareff sings Polnareff. “With Obispo, I was never angry, he confided to the magazine Cine TV Revue, reports the site Purecharts. It still took more than fifteen years to ease the tensions… It all started in 2003, when Obispo released his hit Fan in tribute to his mentor and launched a tour in the process where he borrows a lot from the universe of the interpreter of “Goodbye Marylou”. Since then, water has flowed under the bridges. Obispo continued to regularly send his new albums to the Admiral, who enjoyed hearing him hear from him when he suffered a double pulmonary embolism in 2016. “He’s been absolutely lovely,” he said. he recognized afterwards. The contact was renewed, both now speak to each other regularly via WhatsApp since one resides in France when the other still lives in California. On the other hand, if Polnareff now appreciates Obispo, he seems to have found other prime targets with Calogero and Benjamin Biolay – whom he derisively nicknames “Organic milk”. The reason ? Both had not been shy to criticize him two years ago in Paris Match saying that his exile in the United States had really not helped him.
