A suspect related to the incident of gang rape in the area under the Nelliadi Police Division of Jaffna has been arrested in Colombo after 09 years.
On March 07, 2014, a woman was sexually assaulted in Mulli area under Nelliadi Police Division.
While the Nelliadi police were investigating the incident, one person involved in the incident escaped and two others were arrested and brought before the court.
A public warrant was issued against the absconder while the case was being investigated against the two arrested.
The fugitive went to a foreign country, worked there for some time and returned to the country to work in a shop at Attupatti Street, Colombo.
