The blockade is being carried out as part of the works on the Ministry of Transport’s national project “The Fast Routes”, through the Ayalon Routes Company, which includes the construction of public and cooperative transport routes along the Ayalon routes and the coastal road. The purpose of the project is to enable quick access by public and cooperative transport to the employment centers in the Tel Aviv metropolis.

The works are coordinated with the police who will be present at the scene and are carried out at night in order to make it easier for the drivers and to minimize the inconvenience, when the traffic will be diverted to parallel roads.
