Qatar joins the list of countries requiring a Covid-negative test from travelers from China.
Passengers must submit the Covid test result 48 hours before departure.
Qatar’s state news agency QNA reported on Monday that Covid testing is mandatory regardless of vaccination status. In Qatar, the measures will come into effect from Tuesday (January 3).
It is noteworthy that Qatar is the first Gulf country to impose such a measure.

Before Qatar, several countries have imposed new Covid restrictions on travelers from China
The US, Australia, UK, India, Canada, Israel, Japan, South Korea, Morocco and EU countries like France, Italy, Spain and Sweden have announced these Covid restrictions for people coming from China.
At the same time Morocco went a step further and completely banned the entry of all travelers from China.
