Mexico prison shooting: 14 dead, 24 inmates escape

MEXICO CITY: 14 people were killed in a shooting by armed men who entered a prison in Mexico. Another 24 prisoners escaped from the jail. The prison is located in Ciudad Juarez, northern Mexico. The prison is located on the Mexican border with the United States. A large number of visitors like family and relatives came to see the jail inmates.

In this case, armed suspects in vehicles suddenly besieged the prison. When the police on security duty tried to stop them, the suspects opened fire. 14 people including 10 prison guards were killed in this firing. 24 inmates escaped from the jail by taking advantage of the riot in the jail due to this shooting incident.

Security forces rushed to the spot and brought the jail under their control after a struggle of about 5 hours. Before this incident of attack, the police caught the car that had fled after opening fire on the police and arrested the 4 people in it.
