The Minister of Defense, Yoav Galant, met yesterday (Sunday) with the management of the Ministry of Defense, led by the Director General, Major General (ret.) Amir Eshel. The members of the management of the Ministry presented to the Minister of Defense the main points of what the Ministry of Defense does in the fields of security, economy and society, starting with the treatment of bereaved families , in the disabled of the IDF, in candidates for recruitment and in discharged soldiers, through huge projects that are being established these days in the fields of infrastructure and border protection to the procurement and development of weapons, security issues, security exports and the strengthening of security-strategic ties with many countries.
Minister of Defense, Yoav Galant: “I was happy to meet for the first time with the Ministry of Defense Management Forum. I thank the department heads and CEO Amir Eshel for the welcome and presentation of the main business topics. The Ministry of Defense with its various wings is one of the most significant executive bodies in the State of Israel, which contributes greatly to the security of the citizens of the State of Israel. The defense industries have a priceless value for the defense forces to deal with changing and diverse challenges and threats. Emphasis must be placed on their activities and developments in the face of the various threats in the areas of operation of the security forces.’
The Director General of the Ministry of Defense, Major General (Ret.) Amir Eshel said: “The Ministry of Defense is the central executive arm of the State of Israel, with high performance capacity and the ability to have an extraordinary impact on the meeting point between security, economy and society. This testifies first and foremost to the employees of the Ministry of Defense and the organizational culture of excellence. This is our greatest asset.”
