First T20 Cricket- India set a target of 163 runs for Sri Lanka

The first 20 over match between India and Sri Lanka will be held at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Captain Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Lokesh Rahul have been rested in the Indian team. All-rounder Hardik Pandya leads the team. Shivam Mavi and Shubman Gill have made their T20 international debut in the Indian team.

Sri Lanka won the toss and decided to bowl first. Batting first, the Indian team added 162 runs for the loss of 5 wickets at the end of 20 overs.

Opener Ishan Kishan scored 37 runs with 3 fours and 2 sixes. Shubman Gill (7), Suryakumar Yadav (7) and Sanju Samson (5) were all dismissed for meager runs.

Captain Hardik Pandya lost his wicket for 29 runs. Deepak Hooda, who showed action at the last minute, scored an unbeaten 41 and Axar Patel scored an unbeaten 31 to help India reach a respectable score.

After that, if 163 runs are scored, the Sri Lankan team will enter the field with the target of victory.
