The Rocky Mountains are a mountain range in the United States, approximately two thousand miles long. Two freeways, Interstate 80 and 90, run through the mountains, connecting the east and west of the country. In the winter season, strong winds and record snowfalls turn the streets into a dangerous ice rink. Emergency responders are on the front lines to brave the freezing temperatures and extreme traffic conditions.
