Directed by Dhyan Srinivasan, the film is a love action drama starring Nayanthara and Nivin Pauly in the lead roles. Dhyan talks about his experience when his father was cast in the film.
Dhyan said that by the time he was told his role without telling the story of the film, Srinivasan was ready to act. The actor said that at first he thought it was because of the love of being his father, but while telling the story, he was told that he should act as Nayanthara’s father.
Dhyan added that when he heard Nayanthara, he didn’t even want to listen to the story. Dhyan said these things in Starmagic.
“I am coming to the cinema as an assistant director. At first I thought that cinema was a field for those who wanted to sit and do nothing.
When I go to the location, I see the hero there. Because he can come at nine o’clock. All facilities like caravan, attendants are available. Then I thought I could be a hero. Because one who has no particular desire can become anything. So I thought I could be a hero.
But on the second day, I felt that the power belongs to the director. So I thought I could become a director. But later I realized that the producer is the price. Because it is the producer who puts down the money. So I decided to become a producer.
I was a producer, distributor and also played a small role in my debut directorial film. I always believe that even if we do not know the work, if we hire those who know the work, the work will be done well.
I narrated the story to my father to act in a love action drama. He said ok while telling the story. When I told the story, I only said that he was Nayantara’s father. By then he said ok.
I was suddenly shocked. I wondered if it was because he was my father or because I heard that he was Nayanthara’s father. I asked him to tell the rest of the story. Said no it’s ok. Hearing Nayan Tara, Pulli didn’t want to hear the story anymore,” said Dhyan Srinivasan.
