The French fans called for a second replay of the final, arguing that the goals were disallowed in the match.
French superstar Mbappe was fouled before Di Maria scored the second goal in the match and the main argument put forward by the French fans to replay the match is that the goal should not be allowed.
Argentinians also started an online petition called ‘France stop crying’ against this. This too was well received.
But now, an online petition asking Argentina’s Manchester City star Julian Alvarez to leave his girlfriend is the talk of the football world.
The Sun has reported the news about this strange petition. According to reports, almost 20,000 people have signed a petition demanding that Alvarez’s girlfriend, Emilia Ferrero, be dumped.
Alvarez and his girlfriend Emilia celebrated Argentina’s World Cup win with tens of thousands of people on top of a fire engine in Alvarez’s hometown of Calachin.
The reason behind the online petition is that Emilia blocked Alvarez’s attempt to take a photo with a group of young fans.

Meanwhile, such online petitions are not new in football.
