Planets visible to the naked eye – the largest rock in the solar system.!

by time news

American space agency NASA recently shared a photo showing a rare space phenomenon.

All the planets in our solar system are visible from Earth at the same time, a phenomenon known as ‘planetary transits’ that allows humans to see Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn with the naked eye.

The scene was shared by NASA yesterday as an Astronomical Image (APOD). In the ‘Afterwards Planet Parade’ image released on January 2nd, Jupiter, Mars, Friday, Saturn and Mercury can be seen glowing in the purple evening sky.

This photo, which has the planets Mars, Uranus, Jupiter, Neptune, Saturn, Mercury and Venus in a row, has left people in awe.

The bright stars Altair, Fomalhaut and Aldebaran are also visible in this December 2022 image by astronomer and photographer Tunc Tezel.

NASA’s APOD tradition of releasing a new astronomical image every day stretches back decades.

Every day a new image is released with a short description written by a professional astronomer.

APOD’s first image of 2023 includes “the largest rock in our solar system” known as the ‘Pale Blue Dot’, made famous by a photograph taken by NASA’s Voyager 1 spacecraft in 1990.

APOD’s tagline, “Discover the Cosmos,” promises a new journey into the vast, complex universe we live in every day.
