Former President Gotabaya Rajapaksa and his team who went to Dubai have returned to the country a little while ago

The former president, who arrived on Emirates flight EK 605, exited through the special guest terminal, airport sources said.
It is reported that Gotabaya Rajapaksa, his wife Ayoma Rajapaksa, Special Secretary Sugeeswara Bandara and one other person came with him, while his son Manoj Rajapaksa, his wife and child did not come.

Gotabaya Rajapaksa, who went to Dubai on December 25th, has requested a visa to return to Los Angeles, USA, and there has been a delay in issuing the visa.
Political sources said that on the way he tried to get diplomatic privileges from Dubai and his request to use the special guest lounge at Dubai International Airport without paying was rejected by the authorities.
In this situation, the former president, who stayed in a hotel in Dubai and rested, returned to Sri Lanka today.

Meanwhile, it has been reported that the American ambassador, Gotabaya Rajapaksa, has told him that no matter how hard he tries, he will not be granted a visa to enter the United States, so he should not try.
It is reported that he said this while visiting the official residence of Gotabaya Rajapaksa.
