Maccabi Haifa is considering the addition of Hamudi Canaan

by time news

While Maccabi Haifa coach Barak Becher and his team are busy preparing for the game against Sektia Nes Ziona on Sunday, the professional manager, Gal Alberman and the club’s management, are busy strengthening and focusing on the replacement for Netta Lavi. The Sport Channel has learned that Carmel is looking into the addition of Keshat M.S. Ashdod, Hamudi Canaan, who grew up in the club and was purchased by the team from the port city for about half a million NIS about four years ago.

The club understands that Jacky Ben Zaken’s demand will be at least as much as the amount paid for Dean David about a year and a half ago – 1.2 million euros. Unlike Aden Kartsev from Maccabi Netanya, Kanaan can also be used as a replacement for Charon Sherry, but he is not a back midfielder and Maccabi Haifa take this into account.

Canaan has 15 goals and 12 assists in 90 Premier League appearances (involved in a goal every 3.3 games). He recently made his debut in the senior Israeli national team uniform and was a central part of the young national team’s qualification for the Euros in the summer.

In the meantime, another midfielder who grew up in the club and was loaned to Hapoel Afula, Bassem Zarora is expected to show up for training tomorrow (Saturday) and may be included in the team’s squad for the first game against Sektia Nes Ziona. Just last night, Zarora was one of Hapoel Afula’s standouts in the victory against Hapoel Kfar Saba, which booked her a ticket to the quarterfinals of the State Cup.
